PUNDERINGS is a book of comical puns. Some make you laugh; some make your groan and some cause a little of each. This booklet is the collaboration of grandfather and grandchild, who both enjoy a play on words and word parts and humor. As the author tells, “During her youth my granddaughter took great pleasure in torturing me with her homemade crossword puzzles.” In retaliation, he offered his groan-causing puns. This interplay of words and humorous thinking nurtured their relationship. They came to realized they were kindred spirits, which resulted in their collaboration and desire to share their pun-making and humor in this booklet.

WHAT I LOVE TO EAT, The John Carlevbale Cookbook, $9.99
ISBN: 0-940139-69-3, 59 pages, soft cover

After the word gets out that the author is a good cook, he is often asked for a recipe or two. Here begins the problem and the reason this book was written. This book consists of a variety of chicken, meat and pasta dishes as well as soups, vegetable and salad dishes. Most of these recipes can be prepared in thirty minutes or less. Most recipes include suggested variations or substitutions. The book encourages experimentation with the recipes offered and facing pages have been left blank so that the cook may make notes and record satisfying variations.
In the Preface, the author recalls the movie, Ratatouille, wherein the famous Chef Gasteau said, “Anyone can cook.” Carlevale shares this belief and hopes his readers will come to share it also.
